SUMMARY:Intermediate Handbuilding - Thursday Mornings
DESCRIPTION:If you’re familiar with basic handbuilding techniques but interested in learning more\, this class is for you.  Work on more complex projects with closer attention to detail\, construction\, and surface decoration.  This class is an open studio format\, explore your own projects with personalized attention and support. Full studio access\, including all tools\, slab roller\, extruder\, and molds\, as well as clay\, slips\, and underglazes. \nThis class will take place on Thursday mornings from 10am to 1pm.  Classes will run on April 16\, 23\, 30\, May 7\, 14\, 21\, 28\, June 4\, 11. \nThere is a maximum of 6 students per class.  All materials\, tools\, and firing fees are included in the class fee.  Missed classes can be made up during alternative class times (Tues/Wed/Thurs). \nAriella is a ceramic artist with over a decade of experience on the potter’s wheel. Her passion for hand-building started a few years ago with a slew of bowls and cups in her cupboard\, and a desire to explore creativity\, form\, surface design\, and freedom in her ceramics.  Her pieces are influenced by her background in food\, cooking\, and pastry arts.  She loves to teach beginners and intermediate artists\, sharing her passion for clay and slow art.
