This is a different kind of “Paint & Sip” event where you get to decorate a professional\, handmade ceramic mug with your own custom colors and designs. \nNo pottery experience is necessary! We provide the “bisque-fired” mugs (already shaped and fired once)\, and you provide the creativity. \nThe Creative Experience:\n\n\nChoose Your Form: Pick from a variety of individually shaped\, handmade mugs. \n\n\nTape Resist Technique: Learn how to use professional tape-resist methods to create clean\, modern lines\, geometric patterns\, or bright\, colorful blocks of color. \n\n\nCustom Glazing: Use our studio’s wide selection of high-quality glazes to bring your “Test Tile” design to life. \n\n\nReady to Use: After the workshop\, we will fire your mug in our kiln. It will be food\, microwave\, and dishwasher safe\, ready for pickup in 4–6 weeks. \n\n\nWorkshop Highlights:\n\n\nAll materials\, including the handmade mug and professional glazes\, are included. \n\n\nRelax & Connect: Enjoy a mindful\, social environment with complimentary tea\, coffee\, and sparkling water. \n\n\nLocation: Conveniently located in the heart of Westchester\, perfect for friends\, couples\, or solo makers. \n \n\n\nReady. Set. Glaze. Bring your friends and leave with a masterpiece for your morning coffee! \nStudio Logistics & Policies\n\n\nSpace is Limited: Our studio is intimate; workshops are capped at 12 guests unless otherwise specified. \n\n\nArrival: Please arrive on time. To ensure everyone completes their project\, guests arriving more than 30 minutes late may be unable to finish. Ariella will do her best to accommodate and assist with repairs to ensure your work survives the kiln. \n\n\nDress Code: Please come dressed to get your hands (and potentially your clothes) a little dirty! \n\n\nAmenities: Parking is free and plentiful. Clean restrooms are located just across the hall. \n\n\nCancellations & Refunds\n\n\nPolicy: A 50% refund is available with written cancellation up to 1 week before the workshop. Cancellations made less than 1 week prior are non-refundable. \n\n\nRescheduling: Rescheduling due to illness is permitted once. \n\n\nA Note on the Magic of Ceramics\n\nPLEASE NOTE: There are no guarantees in pottery! While working in clay is meditative and gratifying\, it is also beautifully unpredictable. Clay moves\, shifts\, and sometimes cracks as it dries or during the firing process—even for the most experienced potters. This is the “magic” of ceramics: learning to let go\, accepting that we aren’t always in control\, and finding beauty in the process.\nWe invite you to enjoy the experience as the most important part of your visit; the final product is simply the icing on the cake!
