Join our Ceramic Berry Bowl Workshop and handbuild a functional\, beautiful piece of tableware for your spring and summer harvests. \nA custom-made stoneware berry bowl (or mini colander) with built-in drainage holes is the perfect addition to your kitchen table—ideal for washing and serving fresh market strawberries\, blueberries\, and blackberries. \nThe Creative Process: \n\n\nSlab & Pinch Construction: Learn to shape a unique vessel using premium brown stoneware clay. \n\n\nFunctional Design: We will guide you through the process of measuring and cutting drainage holes to ensure your bowl is as practical as it is charming. \n\n\nSurface Texture: Customize your piece with hand-carved details or your choice of our studio’s colorful glazes. \n\n\nWorkshop Highlights: \n\n\nRelaxed Environment: This 2–2.5 hour casual workshop is designed for you to unplug and create. No experience necessary! \n\n\nAll-Inclusive: All materials\, tools\, and professional kiln firing are included. \n\n\nRefreshments: A curated selection of drinks and snacks will be provided to complete your creative night out. \n\n\nPickup: Your finished pieces will be glazed and ready for pickup at our White Plains studio 4–6 weeks after class. \n\n\nLooking for a unique date night or a mom’s night out in Westchester? To ensure everyone completes their project\, guests arriving more than 30 minutes late may be unable to finish. Ariella will do her best to accommodate and assist with repairs to ensure your work survives the kiln. \n\n\nDress Code: Please come dressed to get your hands (and potentially your clothes) a little dirty! \n\n\nAmenities: Parking is free and plentiful. Clean restrooms are located just across the hall. \n\n\nCancellations & Refunds\n\n\nPolicy: A 50% refund is available with written cancellation up to 1 week before the workshop. Cancellations made less than 1 week prior are non-refundable. \n\n\nRescheduling: Rescheduling due to illness is permitted once. \n\n\nA Note on the Magic of Ceramics\n\nPLEASE NOTE: There are no guarantees in pottery! While working in clay is meditative and gratifying\, it is also beautifully unpredictable. Clay moves\, shifts\, and sometimes cracks as it dries or during the firing process—even for the most experienced potters. This is the “magic” of ceramics: learning to let go\, accepting that we aren’t always in control\, and finding beauty in the process.\nWe invite you to enjoy the experience as the most important part of your visit; the final product is simply the icing on the cake!

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to expand your fiber arts skills\, this class will guide you through the techniques of weaving in the round—from setting up your hoop loom to creating textured\, layered designs using a variety of yarns and fibers. You’ll learn: How to warp a circular loomBasic and decorative weaving stitchesColor blending and textural techniquesTips for finishing and displaying your pieceAll materials are provided\, including a hoop loom\, a curated selection of yarns\, and weaving tools. By the end of the session\, you’ll leave with your own completed circular weaving and the skills to keep creating at home. Come and enjoy a relaxing and creative atmosphere while exploring a new dimension of weaving! Saturday\, August 8th\, from 10 am -1 pm Tea\, coffee\, and sparkling water will be provided. Bring a snack! ***** Courtney Salerno is a teacher and fiber artist living in the Hudson Valley\, NY.  She began weaving in 2016 and creates in her home studio on handmade frame looms.  She is mostly self-taught and experiments with a variety of fibers\, including cotton rope\, yarn\, wool roving\, hand-dyed ribbons\, and recycled materials.  Courtney has shown several pieces in galleries throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond.  She also teaches beginning frame loom weaving and weaving in the round classes in the tristate area.
