A communal ceramics studio space for artists, makers, and clay lovers of all kinds.

Slip Studio offers memberships for potters seeking shared studio access, kiln firing services, and a welcoming creative community.

Our studio is one large workspace, so space is limited. We use an application process to make sure our members’ needs and our studio’s vibe align. If you’re passionate about clay and are looking to expand your knowledge and community, we’d love to hear from you!

We make stuff.

  • Handbuilding only (no potters’ wheels provided – Resident Artists get to bring their own)
  • Full range of tools and equipment: slab roller, extruder, ware boards, sponges & tools
  • House made glazes and a selection of commercial glazes
  • Private and communal worktables
  • Clay available for purchase
  • Weekly kiln firings: bisque, glaze, luster & decals
  • Open daily: 10am – 9pm
  • Online booking via our Member Portal

Fire & Glaze – $100/month

Perfect for home-studio potters needing professional kiln access and glazing support.

  • Drop off greenware anytime (10am–9pm daily)
  • Schedule glazing appointments through the portal

Big Red Shelf – $250/month

Ideal for ceramic artists who want regular studio access and workspace.

  • Full studio access during business hours (bookable in 3-hour slots)
  • Private storage shelf (half of the big red which is roughly 2’x3′)
  • Ability to mix and store your own glazes
  • Full use of studio, equipment and tools

Designed for experienced potters in need of a full-time studio.

  • B.Y.O.W. – Bring your own wheel!
  • Mi casa es su casa – 24/7 access (you’ll get your own key)
  • Share responsibility for opening/closing the studio at least 5x per month
  • Treat the studio as your own (cleanly + respectfully)

Firing Fees

  • Bisque, Luster & Decals: $0.04 per cubic inch
  • Glaze (cone 6): $0.06 per cubic inch
    All firing fees are paid directly through the Member Portal.

Memberships are limited and offered on a rolling basis.

  • Minimum duration: 2 months
  • Additional $100 security deposit
  • Cancellation: 30-day notice required
