Field Trip to Bobo's Farm - Aug 30th

Join me on a very special field trip to Bobo's Farm in New Paltz, NY. You may have seen the viral videos... if you haven't, search it up!

Come and enjoy an authentic Northeast-style Chinese farmhouse meal including a giant lamb roast in upstate New York. We'll be organizing it all, so all you have to do is save the date and buy a ticket! We reserved the YURT for only 24 guests.

This is a whole day affair from 11am- 4pm. Bring some games and cards, I hear karaoke is definitely on the table.... BYOB. There will be PLENTY of authentic and delicious Chinese cuisine. Once you sign-up, I'll send recommendations for local craft breweries and distilleries to hit on the way..

Nerikomi Workshop

David Jo from Flint & Marble is our guest artist for this special Nerikomi workshop.

This hands-on class introducing students to Nerikomi, a decorative hand building technique using layered and patterned colored clay. Students will learn how to build and slice patterned clay blocks and apply them to a simple slab-built form, resulting in a one-of-a-kind functional piece. The class is beginner-friendly and open to all experience levels.

A local, community-driven, creative retreat, Slip Studio is an intimate communal workspace for ceramic artists and potters.

Food is always top of mind in the studio. What’s the purpose of the vessel? Will there be food in it? What’s for lunch? Pottery and food. Food and pottery – they work very well together!

Slip Studio is a space shaped by self-expression and a creative journey. Come into the studio to unwind and find your inner voice. Unplug and get lost as you learn the art of sgrafitto.
