2026 Summer Clay Camps in White Plains, NY

Creative Handbuilding Camps for Ages [8-12]. Week-long morning and afternoon sessions available.

Summer Clay Camp registration opens Feb 1st!

Pottery & Clay Camps at Slip Studio NY! Fun, creative handbuilding workshops for kids in White Plains. Small groups, themed weeks, and hands-on ceramic art.

Our clay camp runs for 6 weeks during July and August. We offer two sessions: lower school mornings from 9:30 am-12:30 pm for kids in 3rd-5th grade and middle school afternoons (grades 6-8) from 1:30-4:30 pm.

Unlike larger camps, our boutique studio focuses on the tactile art of handbuilding—sculpting, coiling, and slab-work. With a maximum of 10 campers per session, your child gets individualized attention from a master maker All materials, supplies, and firing fees are included in the price.

Each week will be a curated and unique experience in clay, art, food, and nature. We’ll be exploring our themes through design and color, textures and shapes, as well as a deep dive into our senses! Students will be encouraged to work as a group, slowing down and focusing on mindfulness and intention to detail. Our intent is quality, NOT quantity; kids will end up 2-3 thoughtfully made pieces at the end of each session. Finished pieces will be fired and glazed for pick up 2-4 weeks later.

Please NOTE: Slip Studio is an adult workspace, with bar-height stools and high worktables.  Kids should have the ability to sit and work on the day’s project. Camp sessions run for 3 hours, with a short snack break.

My experience at Slip Shop exceeded my expectations. Took a Tile Mug workshop and cannot believe how beautifully it turned out. The shop is roomy and inviting; it was so organized, I felt immediately comfortable to set up a work area. Firstly, … More I engaged in some light chatter with friendly strangers sharing lovely charcuterie and beverages. Ariella made her own bread; yes please! Back to the clay: there are works to inspire, some finished and works in progress. I saw uniquely designed platters that make me want to sign up for a series of classes so I can make my own. Great experience!

There are few teachers like Ariella. She brings confidence and fun to every class, making the work feel both joyful and approachable. Whenever I made a mistake, she showed me simple, effective ways to fix it, so I didn’t have to start from … More scratch. Those small, smart tips helped me grow because I could build on what I’d already learned instead of beginning again each time.
Ariella is not only a beautiful artist but also a gifted teacher and a genuinely kind person. Her calm energy and passion for what she does are absolutely contagious. I can’t wait to take another class with her; it’s truly my happy place.

I had a great time at a mom’s night out, learning how to design and paint a plate, chatting with other moms and eating delicious snacks. The studio is new and inviting. Ariella led a great session that was relaxed and insightful with design … More ideas and techniques. I will be back
