Beginner Circular Weaving Workshop
Discover the meditative art of circular weaving in this hands-on workshop designed for all skill levels. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to expand your fiber arts skills, this class will guide you through the techniques of weaving in the round—from setting up your hoop loom to creating textured, layered designs using a variety of yarns and fibers.
You'll learn:
- How to warp a circular loom
- Basic and decorative weaving stitches
- Color blending and textural techniques
- Tips for finishing and displaying your piece
All materials are provided, including a hoop loom, a curated selection of yarns, and weaving tools. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with your own completed circular weaving and the skills to keep creating at home.
Come and enjoy a relaxing and creative atmosphere while exploring a new dimension of weaving!
Saturday, August 8th, from 10 am -1 pm

Courtney Salerno is a teacher and fiber artist living in the Hudson Valley, NY. She began weaving in 2016 and creates in her home studio on handmade frame looms. She is mostly self-taught and experiments with a variety of fibers, including cotton rope, yarn, wool roving, hand-dyed ribbons, and recycled materials. Courtney has shown several pieces in galleries throughout the Hudson Valley and beyond. She also teaches beginning frame loom weaving and weaving in the round classes in the tristate area.
