Come into the studio and make a custom ceramic butter dish for your table!  Join us for a two-day pottery workshop where you'll learn to construct and decorate a functional piece of tableware.

This workshop is perfect for those with some hand-building experience who want to take on a bigger challenge!!

  • Day 1: Construction: Master the art of rolling the perfect slab.  Learn how to construct your box using coils for a secure joint.  Day one will be all about constructing a flawless box that sits snuggly over a perfect plate.

  • Day 2: Decoration & Personalization: Once our pieces are leather-hard, we'll fine-tune our butter dishes, adding a handle, knobm and  or personalized features.  We'll also paint underglaze, stamps pr add any surface decoration.

Workshop Highlights:

  • White stoneware clay, tools, and kiln firing are included

  • Best suited for an intermediate skill level

  • Each class will last 2 1/2 hours

  • Your finished pieces will be fired, glazed, and ready for pickup at the studio 4–6 weeks later
