Drop-in Studio Hours
This summer, Slip Studio is open for drop-in studio hours all summer long!
- Tuesday – Fridays 1 pm – 6 pm
- Select Saturdays 1 pm – 6pm
No reservations needed! Drop-in studio time is for adults and open to kids over the age of 6, but please note that Slip Studio is an adult workspace with high stools and tabletops. Children will need full supervision.
Drop-in studio time is free-play with NO INSTRUCTION! A studio monitor will be on hand to help your piece survive, but there is NO formal instruction.
$50 bucks buys you 2 hours of studio time and one of the following:
- Paint ready-made bisqueware
OR
- Receive 3lbs of clay to make anything you want.Â
What’s included?
Use of our studio tools and materials including:
- Rolling pins and sticks
- Hump/slump molds
- Forms and textures
- Flat templates
- Brush on stroke & coat glazes
- Firing fees for any piece up to 8″ wide
- Store your pieces to work on over multiple days
- NO pottery wheels!
- Additional clay available for purchase

Studio Summer Hours
The studio is open Tuesdays - Fridays from 10am-6pm and Saturdays from 1 pm-6 pm. Mornings are for members; quiet and mindful studio time. Afternoons are for drop-in studio where kids and adults can come in and create anything they want. Add in a few evening and weekend workshops, Family Clay Date and more.... We are a full house!
Slip Studio is a quiet and mindful pottery studio for all skill levels, located near Scarsdale, Mamaroneck, and Greenwich.
Outside Firing Services
Outside firing is possible at Slip Studio. Please contact us directly using the form below for details and clay/glaze approval. Our electric kiln fires to cone 04 and cone 6 and features a 6.4 cubic foot chamber, measuring 22.38" in diameter and 27" deep. Outside firing fees are 8 cents per cubic inch per firing. Full Kiln rental is available.
