Food is always on my mind.
From the moment I wake up until I go to bed. I never understood people who say they forget to eat, lol. It's not that I'm hungry and eating all the time, it's more the thought process of what's passing through my brain... FOOD.
What can I feed those kids for breakfast? Is there anything for lunch? Why don't we have homemade bread? I really love making it, let me remember to take the starter out of the fridge, after I walk the dog. Oh wait! I need to throw in a load of laundry first. And I just need to check what's going bad in the fridge. Can I cobble together something for dinner, or do I need to go to the grocery store? My mind runs in circles around the kitchen. Maybe my life language is food? LOL
Next month, I'm raising the bar in the studio and getting closer to my vision: pottery + food together in one! What's better than one passion? Two, of course.
A homemade pasta demo with Kate Solomon. Mix, knead and roll pasta dough. Learn how to roll pasta shapes. Eat pasta. And create a ceramic texture board- which can truly be used for anything else. This workshop is SOLD OUT, but I'm sure Kate and I will do it again in the fall!
TWO Indonesian culinary events coming up in June & July. Read below or head to the website for details about the Indo Lunch & Learn on June 26th.
And lastly, save the date for a very special Slip Studio field trip to Bobo's Farm in New Paltz on Sunday, August 30th. It's going to be an epic feast of Northeastern Chinese farmhouse cuisine, including a giant lamb roast. I reserved the yurt for 24 people! Click here for more details.
