Make Your Own Ceramic Coffee Pour Over Workshop

- Description
Elevate your morning brew with a custom ceramic coffee pour over, handmade by you at Slip Studio in White Plains. Join us for a 2.5-hour pottery workshop where you will learn to hand-build a functional, professional-grade coffee dripper.
Whether you’re a "coffee nerd" looking for the perfect slow-brew setup or a pottery beginner, this workshop offers a mindful way to create a staple for your kitchen.
The Process:
Slab Construction: Learn how to roll, compress, and measure a perfect slab of premium stoneware clay.
Precision Engineering: We will guide you through cutting and assembling the cone shape and base for a perfect fit over your favorite mugs.
Personalized Details: Customize your pour-over with hand-stamped textures, unique attachments, or decorative details.
Professional Finishing: Choose your glaze color; we will handle the slow drying and firing to ensure your piece is durable and food-safe.
Workshop Highlights:
All clay, tools, and professional kiln firing are included.
Bonus: Enjoy complimentary tea, coffee, and homemade scones while you work!
Finished pieces are ready for pickup at our White Plains studio 4–6 weeks after class.
This casual, mindful workshop is perfect for a unique date night or a creative solo escape. No experience necessary!
Studio Logistics & Policies
Space is Limited: Our studio is intimate; workshops are capped at 12 guests unless otherwise specified.

Amenities: Parking is free and plentiful. Clean restrooms are located just across the hall.
Cancellations & Refunds
Policy: A 50% refund is available with written cancellation up to 1 week before the workshop. Cancellations made less than 1 week prior are non-refundable.

A Note on the Magic of Ceramics
- PLEASE NOTE: There are no guarantees in pottery! While working in clay is meditative and gratifying, it is also beautifully unpredictable. Clay moves, shifts, and sometimes cracks as it dries or during the firing process—even for the most experienced potters. This is the "magic" of ceramics: learning to let go, accepting that we aren't always in control, and finding beauty in the process.
- We invite you to enjoy the experience as the most important part of your visit; the final product is simply the icing on the cake!
