Craft Your Own Charcuterie Board Workshop

- Description
Elevate your next gathering with a custom ceramic charcuterie board, handmade by you at Slip Studio in White Plains. Join us for a 2.5-hour handbuilding pottery workshop where you will design and construct a professional-grade, food-safe serving platter—perfect for your next wine and cheese event.
The Creative Process:
Large Scale Construction: Start with a substantial pre-rolled slab of premium clay (12" x 24") to create a statement piece for your table.
Personality & Texture: Use our studio’s collection of professional stamps and texture rollers to add unique character to your board.
Custom Shaping: Learn the score and slip technique to add handles or decorative cut-outs. We’ll guide you in shaping organic waves and curves for a modern, artisan presentation.
Functional Design: Create custom "divets" and crevices specifically designed to hold chutneys, jams, or dipping oils.
Finishing: Choose from our food-safe, studio-made glazes to finish your piece.
Workshop Highlights:
All-Inclusive: All clay, tools, and professional kiln firing are included in the price.
- A curated selection of wine, cheese, and nibbles will be served, for inspiration, of course!
Professional Result: Your final charcuterie board will be glaze-fired, non-porous, and dishwasher safe.
Pickup: Pieces will be ready for pickup at our White Plains studio in 4–6 weeks.
No experience necessary! This casual, creative session is a favorite for private parties and creative night outs in Westchester.
Looking for a date night or a mom's night out? This is a casual workshop, no experience necessary! Bring your creativity and your friends for a mindful evening and a chance to unplug.
Studio Logistics & Policies
Space is Limited: Our studio is intimate; workshops are capped at 12 guests unless otherwise specified.

Amenities: Parking is free and plentiful. Clean restrooms are located just across the hall.
Cancellations & Refunds
Policy: A 50% refund is available with written cancellation up to 1 week before the workshop. Cancellations made less than 1 week prior are non-refundable.
Rescheduling: Rescheduling due to illness is permitted once.
A Note on the Magic of Ceramics
- PLEASE NOTE: There are no guarantees in pottery! While working in clay is meditative and gratifying, it is also beautifully unpredictable. Clay moves, shifts, and sometimes cracks as it dries or during the firing process—even for the most experienced potters. This is the "magic" of ceramics: learning to let go, accepting that we aren't always in control, and finding beauty in the process.
- We invite you to enjoy the experience as the most important part of your visit; the final product is simply the icing on the cake!
